New play area equipment!

Who’d expect a coffee shop to have three Hastings boats as their outdoor play area? Well now we’ve added two swings in the Coffee Box field as well, and the slide’s on its way.

Even before we officially opened the swings today, there was a queue of toddlers eager to take their turn.

We bet they’re going to love the slide when it’s installed next week!

Free indoor & outdoor kids' play

Coffee Box outside kids' play areaTwice a week we're offering the perfect opportunity for a well-earned natter with your friends over lunch or coffee and cake while your pre-school children make the most of our free play.

If the weather's fine, why not look out over an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as you sit in our patio area and your kids clamber over the wooden fishing boats and run across the rope-bridge?

Or, on rainy days, relax inside in the warmth while your toddlers enjoy our range of toys in the multi-purpose sports room.

The outside play area is free for Coffee Box patrons to use anytime, and the indoor free play is available to patrons of Coffee Box on Tuesdays from 11.30am to 1pm and on Thursdays from 12noon to 2pm.

Kids' play area looking ship-shape

The Coffee Box play area out on the back field is really starting to look ship-shape. We're looking forward to some sunny days this summer when adults can sit out on the patio, enjoying a delicious coffee or a scrumptious smoothie, admiring the view of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty while children play out in the sun! The fort and boats are being built by award-winning local social enterprise Hastings & Bexhill Wood Recycling Project.
